Lynn Laughter, CFP®
Owner
Lynn Laughter has been an independent financial advisor since 1998 and has been managing investments since 1993. She holds FINRA Series 7, 24, and 63 securities registrations. She is also an insurance agent and has licenses in several states for life, accident and sickness, and variable contracts.
Lynn graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a bachelor’s degree in industrial relations. She earned her MBA from Northwestern University’s prestigious Kellogg Graduate School of Management with concentrations in finance and accounting.
Giving back to her community is a top priority in Lynn’s life. She devotes a significant amount of time to numerous organizations. Lynn was on the Whitfield Board of Commissioners for four years and was elected as the first female chairman from 2016 through 2020.
Lynn and her husband, Ben, have been married since August 1972 and have three married children: Jud, Mark, and Mary Lynn. They have six grandchildren whom they absolutely adore. Lynn’s hobbies include walking for fitness, UNC basketball, watching movies, reading, and spoiling her grandchildren.
Miller Jones, CFP®
Owner
Born and raised in Atlanta with parents and extended family from the Savannah area, Miller is firmly rooted as a Georgia native. He is dedicated to improving lives through effective wealth management. Miller holds FINRA Series 7 and 66 securities registrations with Commonwealth Financial Network® as well as life, accident and sickness, and variable insurance licenses.
Miller is proud to have served his country in the U.S. Navy, where he learned that the fastest way is not always the best way—a lesson he applies to his investing strategies. Ten years in guest services with the Ritz Carlton Hotel Company instilled in Miller exceptional customer service skills, giving his clients a sense of ease at every encounter.
Miller and his wife, Mary Lynn, have been married since June 2004. They live in Dalton with their daughters, Kate and Lulu. Miller spends a significant amount of time volunteering with local church and youth organizations. Additionally, his passions include personal development, ocean activities, and outdoor cooking.
Laura Headrick
Office Manager
Laura has been with Laughter & Jones Financial Management since December 2009. She was born and raised in a small community, Chatata Valley, near Cleveland, Tennessee. She and her husband, Kensel, have two daughters and four grandchildren.
For the past 30 years, Laura has worked in her husband's GM franchise and spent much time in carpet sales and manufacturing. She enjoys the personal contact with clients and her varied responsibilities as the office manager at Laughter & Jones Financial Management.
Outside of the office, Laura enjoys sewing, traveling, and spending time outdoors. Her greatest joy is the time spent with her family.
Rebecca Sibley
Account Specialist
Rebecca has been with Laughter & Jones Financial Management since 2015. She has her bachelor’s degree in business from Mars Hill College in North Carolina, where she met her husband, Scott, who just happens to be Lynn Laughter’s first cousin. Small world!
Before coming to work for Lynn and Miller, Rebecca was a consultant for a medical compliance company for 17 years, working closely with highly sensitive information. Prior to this, she was the manager of a medical supply company in Asheville, North Carolina.
Rebecca and Scott have been married since May 1987 and have three sons: Blakley (Blake), Thomas, and William. Rebecca’s father, Jim Chamblee, still lives in Dalton and is one of the main reasons they moved back from North Carolina. She enjoys spending time with her family and is happiest when she has her family all together. She also enjoys hanging out with friends and cooking. Out of all the jobs she has had throughout her lifetime, she will quickly tell you that raising three children has been the best job she has ever had!
Darlene Lofty
Marketing Specialist
Darlene has been with Laughter & Jones Financial Management since 2016. Before working at Laughter & Jones Financial Management, she was the office manager for one of the largest real estate firms in Northwest Georgia. She has enjoyed learning about the financial industry, but her favorite part of her job is serving the needs of our clients.
Although she grew up in Calhoun (Go Jackets!), she has lived in Dalton since 1982 and considers Dalton her home. She and her husband, John, have four children and nine grandchildren. They are members of Salem Baptist Church, where they sing in the choir and have volunteered as youth leaders for 20 years. Most of their free time is spent watching their grandchildren and students in their youth group at their various activities, but they also enjoy attending classic car shows and high school football games.
